01

Managed, end-to-end delivery

BlokPort manages the movement of your order from source to destination. Orders are consolidated with other shipments on managed routes, carried by sea to the arrival port, cleared through customs, and delivered onward to your delivery point. Where door delivery is offered, the last-mile leg is arranged and priced for your order. This policy forms part of our Terms of Sale.

02

Incoterms and what the price includes

The Incoterms rule for your order, and exactly what the price includes, are stated on your quote or order confirmation. Where an order is sold on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis, the quoted price includes ocean freight, insurance for the managed legs, customs clearance, and applicable import duties and taxes up to the agreed delivery point, and you are responsible for unloading and any charges beyond that point.

For orders sold on other terms, the applicable Incoterms rule determines which party bears the cost and risk of each leg. If the Incoterms rule for your order is unclear, contact us before ordering — the terms on your order confirmation govern.

03

Lead times and scheduling

Lead times depend on the origin, the route, container consolidation, and customs. Any dates we give are good-faith estimates, not guarantees, and run from the point your order is accepted and, where relevant, your space on a sailing is confirmed. We will keep you informed of the expected timeline and of material changes to it.

04

Shared containers and space

Many orders travel in shared containers on managed routes, so you pay for the space your cargo uses rather than a whole container. Space on a sailing is subject to availability and to the cut-off date shown for that sailing. If a chosen sailing fills or its cut-off passes before your order is confirmed, we will offer the next suitable departure.

05

Duties, taxes, and customs

Where your price is quoted inclusive of duties and import taxes (for example DDP), those charges are our responsibility up to the agreed delivery point. Where it is not, you are the importer of record and are responsible for import clearance, duties, and taxes. You agree to provide any information reasonably needed for customs clearance without delay; delays caused by missing information are not our responsibility.

06

Risk and title

Risk of loss or damage passes to you at the point determined by the Incoterms rule for your order — for a delivered (DDP) order, on delivery to the agreed delivery point. Title passes only when we have received payment in full, as set out in the Terms of Sale. The managed legs are insured; you are responsible for insuring the goods once risk has passed to you.

07

Delivery, access, and inspection

You must provide safe, suitable access for delivery and the means to unload at the delivery point. Natural stone is heavy and is typically delivered on pallets; you are responsible for handling it safely once delivered. Inspect the goods on arrival and note any visible transit damage or shortage on the delivery documents. Report damage, shortage, or non-conformance as set out in our Returns & Claims policy — timely notice is a condition of any claim.

08

Delays and events outside our control

Cross-border logistics are subject to events outside our reasonable control, including port congestion, carrier and customs delays, and severe weather. We are not liable for delay or non-delivery caused by such events, but we will work in good faith to reschedule and to keep you informed.
