Policy
BlokPort has zero tolerance for tax evasion and for helping anyone else evade tax, and we hold our partners to the same standard.
01
BlokPort has zero tolerance for tax evasion, and for the facilitation of tax evasion by anyone acting for us or with us. We treat this as a matter of principle, not simply a legal requirement.
This applies wherever we operate. We would rather turn away a transaction than take part in one that helps anyone evade the tax they owe.
02
We pay the taxes we owe and we account for them correctly. We do not seek to evade tax, and we do not use arrangements whose purpose is to hide income, misstate value, or disguise where an activity really takes place.
Just as importantly, we never knowingly help a customer, supplier, agent, or anyone else evade their taxes, and we do not look the other way when something suggests they might be trying to.
03
Everyone who works for BlokPort is expected to steer well clear of tax evasion and anything that could assist it, and to speak up the moment something looks wrong.
We expect the suppliers, agents, and partners who act with us to hold to the same standard, and we may decline to work with anyone who will not.
04
We keep accurate records and issue proper invoices and documentation, so that what we buy, sell, and move is described truthfully in our books and to the authorities.
We take reasonable steps to know who we deal with, and we pay attention to warning signs such as unusual payment routes, requests to misdescribe natural stone, or pressure to alter the value on paperwork.
05
If you suspect tax evasion or an attempt to facilitate it, please tell us. You can raise a concern with your manager or through the route set out in our Whistleblowing policy.
We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith, even if it later turns out to be mistaken.
If you have a question about this policy or want to raise a concern, please contact us.
