01

Our commitment

BlokPort is committed to complying with the sanctions, export-control, and trade laws that apply to our business wherever we operate. Moving natural stone across borders is central to what we do, and we treat these obligations as a condition of trading.

Where the rules of different countries apply to the same transaction, we follow the higher standard. This policy sits alongside our other policies and reflects the commitments we hold ourselves to.

02

What this covers

This policy covers the trade and financial rules that govern who we can deal with, where we can send goods, and what we can ship. It applies across our sourcing, sales, and logistics activities.

  • Trade and financial sanctions imposed on countries, entities, and individuals.
  • Export controls that govern the movement of goods and technology.
  • Restricted parties and destinations that are subject to prohibitions.
  • Controlled goods whose supply or transit requires a licence or clearance.

03

Checking who we deal with

Before we trade, we screen our counterparties and the destinations involved against the restricted-party and sanctions lists that apply to us. We look at the customers, suppliers, and agents in a transaction, as well as the route the natural stone will travel.

If a check raises a concern, we pause and review it before going further. We would rather hold an order than risk a breach.

04

Restricted parties and destinations

We do not trade with parties that are subject to sanctions, and we do not route natural stone to embargoed destinations. Where a licence or clearance is needed for a lawful shipment, we obtain it before we proceed.

05

What we expect of partners

We ask the suppliers, agents, and carriers we work with to meet the same standards. They must not involve BlokPort in a breach of sanctions, export controls, or trade laws, whether through the parties they introduce or the routes they use.

We expect partners to be open with us about the origin, destination, and end use of the natural stone in a transaction, and to support our checks when we ask.

06

Raising a concern

If you think a transaction could breach sanctions or trade laws, we would rather hear about it early. You can raise a concern with your manager or through the route set out in our related policies, and we do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who speaks up in good faith.
